 2014 SADDLE CLUB, AFTER SCHOOL AND WEEKEND RIDING PROGRAM

Saddle Club runs on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with an open-ride/make up day onTFriday.. Please call for time and availability.  
Young girls and boys ages 5-18 can live the fun they read about in the popular children's book.
They will learn:
The basics of horsemanship and riding from the ground up.
 All lessons are done at the riders pace and within their comfort level, no one will ever be rushed or left behind. 
Fundamentals and ground work are covered in each session along with:
Grooming, leading, safety, feeding, tacking, horse health and barn maintenance. 
We stress SAFETY and all our programs are done in a stress-free environment. We are primarily an English barn, but all Saddle Clubs will learn basic Western, beginning speed events, beginner Dressage and vaulting and for the confident-trail riding and jumping. -we like our riders to be well-rounded and think all disciplines have wonderful aspects to offer our riders. 
 Parent to call for dates/ Appointment must be set/ no drop ins /Sessions are 6 children maximum/ Must have English riding boots( or smooth, hard soles with 1 inch heel /horse riding helmets required/ helmets required Long pants, leggings or breeches/72 hour cancellation required/Subject to availability, space is limited!!!!

We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate busy families. 
  
 Summer Session Pricing:  $35 each if done individually, or $30 each if purchased in packages or 4 or more.  There is a 5% discount for all siblings and friends that ride in the same sessions.

CAMP OFFERS A FULL PRIVATE OR SEMI PRIVATE LESSON(TRAIL RIDE IF WEATHER PERMITTING), CHORE AND HORSE-RELATED ACTIVITY IN A FUN AND EDUCATIONAL ATMOSPHERE! ONE ADULT FOR EVERY 3 CHILDREN-SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER ONE LESSON!

This is a progressive program, new things will be done and learned each session, come a 
beginner, leave a seasoned horse person, learning not just the fun of horses , but the WORK that comes with it. We emphasize responsibility, team work, patience, self confidence, respect, all while having a fun and educational experience. 
Camp offers all aspects of horse  life, each day offering: feeding and watering*grooming and bathing*hoof care*tack care and maintenance*barn chores*stall cleaning*horse health and medical care*tacking up*proper handling*safety practices*leading and lunging*bareback/English/Western/Jumping/Trail riding*arena maintenance*pasture care*proper stretching*yoga on horseback, warm up and cool down*untacking *obstacle course*relay races*games on horseback and more.
 We also offer  a classroom portion on occasion with horse videos, games and short lesson plans cover breeds/history/terminology.
 
Summer Camp will offer(in addition to activities listed above)  gardening (and producing food/jams and other things from the garden, ,general farm animal care, raising baby chicks and ducks, raising and releasing baby praying mantis, lady bugs and tadpoles,  camp outs,meteor shower viewing nights, cook outs, trail ride picnics, photo shoot,  movie night and much much more!! 
 Children must bring a lunch. All children attending more than 4 days must have their own helmet and riding boots. our staff is happy to recommend  local stores and websites that provide affordable and approved products.
